I have been there twice in 2021 and 2022 for my interview in Service Selection Board also known as SSB. for joining Indian Army as an officer but couldn’t clear it. But because of SSB I could see a part of India which would not have otherwise. Am from south India, but my cultural backdrop is of central India. My ancestors settled in south India, so I have both side of India’s flavor in me. But Prayagraj was a surprise, the painting on the walls of the buildings alongside the roads were refreshing. Lassi!! Damn did not have this kind of Lassi before, it not that popular in South India. And the loved it that they served it in an earthen pot. We Indians were eco-friendly, but sadly this westernization took over. The places I saw which were amazing:

  1. Khusro Bagh, Lukarganj it a monument built on 40 acre of land, a walled garden. It consists of Tombs of Prince Khusro, the eldest son of Emperor Jahangir and Sultan Begum. The place emanates the Mughal architecture.
  2. Triveni Sangam, it’s a pilgrimage place. It’s a confluence of 3 rivers, the Ganga, the Yamuna and Saraswati. Saraswati is an invisible river which is believed to flow underground. All the 3 rivers have religious importance in Sanatan Dharm. The Kumbha Mela is held every 12 years at this place which has a huge religious significance in Sanatan Dharm.
  3. High Court (as am a advocate)
  4. Chandrashekhar Azad Park, it a public park starched in an area of 133 acres, built in 1870. It’s the biggest park in the city and its beautiful
